Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act [GLBA] generally prohibits any financial institution, directly or through its affiliates, from sharing non-public personal information [Personal Information] about you with a non-affiliated third party unless the institution provides you with a notice of its privacy policies and practices, such as, the type of information that it collects about you and the categories of persons or entities to whom it might be disclosed. In compliance with the GLBA, we are providing you with this document, which notifies you of the privacy policies and Practices of this company.

We will only share your Personal Information with affiliates, such as insurance companies, agents and other real estate settlement service providers, when providing that service for your settlement. We will disclose your Personal Information when you direct us to or give us permission, when we are required by law to do so, or when we suspect fraudulent or criminal activities. We nay also disclose your Personal Information when otherwise permitted by applicable laws, such as, for example, when disclosure is needed to enforce our rights arising out of any agreement, contract, transaction or relationship with you. One important function of this company is to record documents in the appropriate public records. Such documents may contain Personal Information.

Right to access your Personal Information and ability to correct errors or request changes or deletion:

Certain states afford you the right to access your Personal Information and, under certain circumstances, to find out to whom your Personal Information has been disclosed Also, certain states afford you the right to request correction, amendment or deletion of your Personal Information.
This company only deals with the searching of the public records of the title to the property, which you are either buying, selling or refinancing. Any information which we receive dealing with loan information, loan document preparation or the terms of the contract [if a sale is involved] are provided to us by the lender or real estate agent[s] involved in the transaction. If your wish to request any changes, deletions or amendments regarding the information contained in the documents provided by those sources, you must make the request in writing to their Privacy Officer.
